Lancashire Wedding Venue
Being a Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photographer means I get to work at a stunning Lancashire wedding venue – a unique one too. Rivington Hall Barn is a purpose built barn conversions, and perfect for your wedding, whatever time of year. This was to be my second visit to this lovely venue, with more weddings booked in for 2020 and 2021 at Rivington Hall Barn.
Autumn Wedding Photography
Suzanne booked me for her wedding to Brian on the recommendation of her friends, Leah & Brad, whose wedding I photographed recently at Eaves Hall. Suzanne & Brian’s wedding was to be October…early Autumn or late Summer? Who knows with our weather! The day looked promising as I arrived at Suzanne’s mum’s for the preparation photos.
Though I shoot live, I still have to work to the wedding timings. Bridal preparations were running a little late and I had to drive 40mins to the venue. The MUA and Hairdresser jumped in to finish Suzanne’s makeup together! On duties with me up as a second Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photographer was my good friend Martin Hambleton.
Unique all-weather wedding venue
As a Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photographer, I was working in an ideal all-weather wedding venue. The barn interior is constant all year round, whatever the weather, with a covered patio area just in case our weather as a mini meltdown during the day…as it tends to! The weather wasn’t looking good for Suzanne & Brian’s wedding….fingers crossed!
I love the variety of wedding venues in Lancashire, and Rivington Hall Barn is up there on my favourites list. I love the challenge of being a Rivington Hall Barn Wedding Photographer – working in low light with no flashguns spoiling the day. The venue is dark, yes, but more ‘atmospheric dark’.
Wedding Photos at Rivington Hall Barn
In true form, the wether broke to beautiful sunshine straight after the ceremony….spooky! Looking at the clouds I estimated that we had around twenty minutes before the clouds rolled in again. After all the guests had hugged and kissed the newlyweds, I took them out for a quick stroll on the wet road (forget the grass!) for a few informal couple photos. Brian is possibly the most camera-shy groom I have ever met, so I had to dig deep into my one-liners joke book to make him at ease…. 🙂 We had to be quick too…my twenty minutes was overestimated and those clouds were coming back!
Howard Wing Wedding Entertainment
The big surprise of the day was working agin with the incredible Howard Wing – a complete human dynamo of energy with his unique style of entertainment. Nobody is safe! Not even me, eh Howard…..I’ll get you back pal…. 😉 Howard was brilliant as MC, singer, wind up merchant and all-round quality wedding entertainment. Highly recommended!
