Adlington Hall Wedding Photographer
Celebrating The Wedding of Daniela & Sean in Cheshire
Recently, I photographed Daniela & Sean’s summer wedding at Adlington Hall. I say summer – though we’ve not seen much of it yet – has allowed me this opportunity to demonstrate my being an Adlington Hall Wedding Photographer- in the rain! 😉
The day started early at Daniela’s parents’ house. The newlyweds are London based, but Daniela wanted to be married ‘back home’…so there we were….five bridesmaids, parents, Rachael Bottomley on Makeup duties, plus Ed and Penny from Silver Sixpence Films. We were all kept busy for an hour or so. Very busy! The weather didn’t seem to want to play ball though, looking overcast and almost miserable in it’s mood. But we had our fingers crossed for sunshine later on in the day…
It’s always good to see Graham and the squadron from I Do Taxi too…
The Vicar was brilliant to work with…even though he sent Ed and I to the back of church like naughty schoolboys! Ah well, some you win!
With the rain threatening to appear again, we had to be quick outside church. As the 100+ guests greeted and kissed Daniela & Sean, the engines were running for a quick getaway, both in the three taxis, a guests bus, and two crew cars….
Ably assisted by Bridesmaid Charley – Daniela dodged the rain drops for the camera, and never let it show once. Well done that girl!
With the Bride & Groom portraits shot in around fifteen minutes, we were into the main hall, just as the wind and rain picked up. Phew! With the hall packed full of family and friends, enjoying the day, whatever the weather, Ed, Penny and I went to work. It was a bit cramped in places – definitely a ‘garlic-free zone’ at times, but we got what we wanted, by working round each other as a team…as it should be!
The couple and I grabbed a few minutes in the hall itself to shoot a few more portraits, before braving the ‘dreaded’ group shots…and that wind!
Now it was time for the wedding breakfast and speeches in The Hunting Lodge.
From the wedding breakfast and speeches, came the couple’s first dance, followed by a local Ceilidh Band. Lessons were given for each dance. But it was total chaos! Brilliant fun though….
And that was me done for the day. With the reeling in full swing, I left Adlington Hall behind and headed home for a well-earned cup of tea.
