Kate & Jay were married recently at Nunsmere Hall on a cold…in fact, very cold February day. It was my first wedding shoot at Nunsmere and I have to say, I was impressed. A beautiful wedding venue, impeccably run…and on the day Melvyn kept everyone on track…thank you sir! At our pre-wedding meeting, Jay made it quite specific about what he was looking for for their wedding photography. Being in web design, he had an eye for strong imagery, and really liked my approach and the way I work. Though the weather promised little, I had free-reign ‘to produce’ a good, strong set of images to document their day. My life was made a little easier working alongside the ever-chirpy Charlene (on video duties) from Love Gets Sweeter Moving Images. Charlene is a sheer delight to work alongside, and less ‘visible’ than me on the day…that and she’s also half my dimensions… 😉
The day was full of excitement….I think Kate’s mum was the most excited of them all, and everything went to plan…with almost military precision, and with an almost telepathic working practice we shot what we needed, including catching the groomsmen a little too early…(we sat outside in the car for five minutes!).
So, here’s a selection of my favourite images from Kate & Jay’s big day. Shot mostly on Nikon D3s and D700 cameras with 24-70mm, 35mm and 50mm lenses….
As ever, your feedback is welcome….so I’ll start the proceedings with comments from my clients. Oh, and the fireworks shot isn’t a studio shoot superimposed! 😉
We are absolutely blown away by these, fantastic photography, well done!
Your talent and the effort that has gone into them is amazing. Out of 400 there are probably only 20 we would discard! Getting these cut down to an album is going to be impossible!
Can’t describe how well you’ve done. We love great photography and there are so many perfect shots of us, the guests and capturing the moment. Pretty incredible you can do this in such a live dynamic environment.
Thanks again Mick, you nailed it.
