Holly & Ben were married at St Anne’s church in Cheadle Hulme, with their reception at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester. A (rare) hot day this was to be – not a drop of rain in sight. I almost missed the stuff…yeah, right. We were on a tight working deadline with this wedding – almost military precision in the planning, so as not to upset Robert, the Catering Manager by my delivering the happy couple late for the wedding breakfast! We were running late however, so my time to shoot a few formals was extremely limited (thanks Robert!) – nobody’s fault in particular – I just think everybody was enjoying the sunshine at the church…and why not?
Ben surprised Holly (and us all) with a rendition of Rod Stewart’s ‘Have I Told You Lately That I Love You?’ during the speeches. Not bad for someone who had only a few guitar lessons – and brilliantly it was performed too – to a rapturous standing ovation (and a few tears) at the end. Nice one!
These are some of my favourites from the day – mostly shot on Nikon D3s and D700 bodies with 24-70mm and 85mm lenses…
Holly has just sent a text message:
“Mick the pictures are beautiful. We are sitting having a glass of rose in Sardinia and can’t wait to see the album. Thanks again…”
