Eaves Hall Wedding

Emma & Steven’s Spring wedding photographs from Eaves Hall

Eaves Hall Wedding

Emma & Steven got in touch to book me for their Eaves Hall Wedding. After a chat over a coffee, and a look through some of my albums, I was booked on the spot. I was also really looking forward to photographing Emma & Steven’s Eaves Hall Wedding; they are such a relaxed, unfussy couple who wanted me to ‘do my thing’ at this fantastic lancashire wedding venue. Fast forward to April 2017 and it was all happening.

Lancashire wedding venue

The weather wasn’t looking too promising on the morning of Emma & Steven’s wedding at this stunning Lancashire wedding venue…but fingers crossed all would change. And it did! 🙂 As Emma was having her preparations down in the Lodge, I popped up the lane to catch up with Steven and the groomsmen doing what lads do best. The atmosphere was brilliant, with everyone in high spirits; lots of mickey taking and the passing a botle of Prosecco around!

Brides at Eaves Hall

With around an hour to go, Emma was getting ready with her bridesmaids. Next door…literally, Steven and the groomsmen were also finishing off and heading downstairs to meet the arriving guests. I love a good Eaves Hall wedding – the atmosphere of the venue seems different to many wedding venues, possibly with it being more intimate and having more of a ‘family’ feeling. Brides at Eaves Hall get the VIP treatment too – a stunningly spacious room in which to get ready, plus Prosecco…lots of it 🙂

Emotional wedding ceremony

Emma & Steven’s was to be emotional wedding ceremony. Lots of happy tears, plus the odd less happy I suppose. But the ceremony was brilliant, and an emotional groom married the love of his life with all their family and friends to share the emotion too. Emma looked gorgeous, and after the emotional wedding ceremony, a very proud groom led the way out of the ceremony for a welcome drinks reception. Lots of hugs and (happy) tears followed. At one stage I was caught up in the proceedings – “You are not a guest Mick” I kept telling myself, but sometimes it’s difficult as a documentary wedding photographer not to get pulled in to the occasion…

Wedding Photos at Eaves Hall

The weather started to improve (yay!) so were outside for a few family group photos and the obligatory confetti shot too…well, it’d be rude not too. With the formals over in around fifteen minutes, Emma, Steven and myself headed down into the gardens to photograph some lovely natural couple photos – all live and unstaged, as it should be! Obviously there was time for a little fun and games…ahhh…why not? From the session we were back to the guests to mingle for an hour or so before the wedding breakfast. Wedding photos at Eaves Hall look stunning, whatever the time of year…see Sarah & Michael’s misty winter wedding to see what I mean!

Wedding speeches at Eaves Hall

Possibly the most emotionally charged wedding reception I have ever experienced. Simple as. The speeches at Eaves Hall for Emma & Steven’s wedding were a real roller coaster of emotion. The term is used all too loosely these days, but believe me, I was struggling to hold things together….”remember Mick, you are still not a guest…” From the speeches, it was time for a little fresh air. By now, blistering sunshine and ten minutes’ playtime….;-) The Dining Room was being turned around for the evening reception, hosted brilliantly by DFC.
