Cranage Hall Wedding
Highlights from Laura & Leigh’s
Cranage Hall Cheshire Wedding
Cranage Hall Wedding Photography in Cheshire
Laura & Leigh were to have their Cranage Hall Wedding at the the lovely Cranage Hall Estate in Cheshire. Theirs was to be a ceremony in the garden in the Pagoda. This was one of my weddings where I meet my clients on the day too, which is quite common. Having sorted the schedule out via email for their Cranage Hall Wedding, it was now time to say hello. I caught up nice and early with Laura and her girls, as they were getting ready. The Prosecco was already flowing, the tunes bangin’ and the atmosphere slowly climbing to eleven as one by one, they were ready.
I said hello to everyone, then disappeared to start capturing the Cranage Hall Wedding Day. I started with the dresses and small detail images. There was mild chaos ensuing as ‘stuff’ I was photographing needed to be elsewhere rapidly, and constantly being ‘borrowed’. All part of the job though at this Cranage Hall Wedding. On cue, I left the morning party to go and visit Leigh and the lads getting ready in another part of the hotel. A much quieter and measured atmosphere in this room. ButAnd, there was gin in abundance though…for them, not me 😉
Popular Cheshire Wedding Venue
Cranage Estate, and especially Cranage Hall is a popular Venue, and perfectly set up for your Cranage Hall Wedding. This was to be my first visit as to photograph a Cranage Hall Wedding, and I was so looking forward to working at this brilliant Cheshire Wedding Venue. I arrived super early for this one, so I could do my creative and technical recce. Here are some highlights from their brilliant Cranage Hall Wedding.
A Cranage Hall Bride
One thing struck me after about half an hour. Both Laura and Leigh hadn’t stopped smiling and laughing. I guessed that this was how the day was going to be. Awesome! Laura, a Cranage Hall Bride and her bridesmaids were now ready for the ceremony. I was duly ushered into the room once Laura was camera-friendly and captured some great moments. For the photographers, I spent most of the morning shooting on 24mm and 50mm prime lenses.
Outdoor Wedding Ceremony
The Cranage Estate is located down near Holmes Chapel, and easily accessible from Manchester and the surrounding areas. I was so glad that the weather was looking promising, because we were on standby to move the wedding indoors. The sun, however was doing it’s best to break through. This was going to be a brilliant outdoor wedding ceremony I caught up with the Leigh as he greeted the guests arriving for the wedding. Then it was time to get seated outside…them, not me. For the photographers out there, I switched to 24-70mm and 70-200mm lenses on the Nikon D750 bodies for the outdoor wedding ceremony. This allowed me to move around, leaving plenty of space to work, and not block anybody’s view of the wedding.
Outdoor Cheshire Weddings
I love a good outdoor Cheshire wedding. In fact, I love a good outdoor wedding anywhere, it’s just the weather in and around Manchester can be so hit and miss for lovely events like this! Not today though! As the guests were all seated, out walked Laura with her dad, down that red carpet, and down the aisle to a smiling Leigh. As she arrived and the vows began, I could see bridesmaid after bridesmaid starting to fill up and cry a little, like a little chain reaction. Using that big zoom (a lens I rarely use) came in very handy for this ceremony.
Natural Wedding Photos
Laura & Leigh weren’t too keen on having lots of wedding photos of themselves taken. They wanted me to do ‘my thing’ and photograph some natural wedding photos of all the guests. So we spent a few minutes while everyone else went to the bar….painless, and a bit of fun too. We were a few hours in to the day now, and the happy couple were really that – happy! Their smiles and laughter just stepped up a gear, and didn’t stop for the rest of the day. Honestly. With an hour or so before the wedding breakfast, I had chance to capture a few guests’ smiles and some natural wedding photos. I managed to persuade Laura & Leigh to pop out front for a couple of photos while the guests were being seated for the wedding breakfast. We captured one of my favourite wedding photos ever. Yeah, THAT one at the top of the page.
The wedding speeches were great fun, with lots of interaction with the guests. Lots more laughing and smiling – boy their cheeks must have been aching by now, surely? 😉 The first dance was quite early, almost running on from the end of the speeches, so they could get the party started. No complaints from me on that one, as everyone hit the floor to some great tunes spun in by Cheshire Wedding DJs. Thanks again for inviting me to you brilliant Cranage Hall Wedding.
