Modern, award-winning documentary wedding photography

I’m a professional Manchester Wedding Photographer, covering weddings all over Manchester, Cheshire, Lancashire and the UK.

I take photos as if I were an extra guest, quietly working away throughout your wedding day, capturing the fun and the emotion the day brings. No forced or cheesy poses, just modern, natural documentary wedding photography you’ll cherish for years to come.

MY STYLE

I come from a previous twenty year career in Film and TV – directing & producing TV commercials.

But a few years ago decided I’d had enough of moving pictures and went back to my first love – stills photography. After photographing a few friends’ weddings, I was hooked….on wedding photography. So I gave my day time job up and went full time, photographing weddings and commercial ‘people’ photography.

My approach to photographing your wedding is to let it flow with very little intervention. I quietly blend in with your guests and capture your day in a natural way. With a few minutes set aside for some stylish portraits of you both, plus a little time for some family groups, the day is totally live and unhindered, so you can simply enjoy your wedding day, totally relaxed.

My wedding images have a definite film-like quality to them…possibly soaked into my very soul from all those hours/days/years spent in video post production suites in Manchester and London. I spend a lot of time on your images too, with each photo carefully colour graded and retouched to its best. Have a look through my folio and see the quality for yourself. No gimmicky and trendy filters  hiding bad technique – just classic, modern documentary wedding photography that you’ll love for years to come.

If you’re a film fan, why not go for film emulation with authentic grain, like Wendy & Gwion did?

” Mick you have done an incredible job capturing these special moments that we can look back on for the rest of our lives! Thank you!!”

Bhavini & Adam

“Hi Mick

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for the wedding album.  Thank you again for giving us such a lovely keepsake of our wedding!!”

Nicola & James

It’s always nice to get comments like this from happy clients. And nice to get them from virtually every wedding I photograph. It means a lot to me that my work is appreciated and I’m doing something right! But, I never rest on my laurels and try to improve my all-round professional service – including both before and after the wedding. I tend to get quite a few referrals from previous clients too, and it’s great to see familiar faces at new weddings.
